LED lighting conversions
Old style halogen downlights are heavy users of energy, can be un-safe as they have been known to cause fires due to their high heat output and also need replacing on a regular basis.
Whereas LED downlights are super efficient using approx. 80% less energy than halogen lighting, last for many years (around 40,000 plus hours) and are much safer as they run at a lower temperature.
We only recommend proven LED lighting that can either be retro fitted or fully replaced. Ususally fully replacing each downlight is better but does cost more. It’s better because you don’t have gaps around each downlight saving you on winter heating costs and improving your homes comfort levels.
Get Off Gas
We believe homes should not run on fossil fuels so one of our key services is to help you move away from using gas appliances and burning coal for electricity.
We can advise and arrange installation of efficient electric appliances to heat / cool your home. These are substantially more efficient than gas and can be run primarily from solar generation and battery storage. Such appliances as heat pump hot water, heat pumps for heating / cooling, and induction cooktops. We will only recommend tried and tested high star rating appliances.
We start from the simplest and cheapest changes with either a staged approach or full conversion depending on your budget.
Thermal Imaging Inspection reports
Many new homes don’t perform to their rated 6 star energy rating due to poorly installed insulation.
Quite often once the insulation has been installed, other trades (lighting and exhaust fans electrical, heating / cooling ducting installation, etc.) move or remove insulation that have been installed correctly. If this problem isn’t rectified the home will badly under perform it’s 6 star rating.
If you suspect your home isn’t performing as well as it should, high heating / cooling bills, feels draughty, then we can thermally inspect your new home to ensure the home meets the correct Australian Building Regulations and matches your energy rating assessment (if provided).
We provide an onsite inspection using our thermal imaging camera, and then provide a detailed report explaining any issues found that you can provide to your builder for rectification. Otherwise we can arrange a quote to fix the insulation and any other issues found.
Thermal Retrofits to existing homes
Once we’ve provided an energy audit report we can prioritise and suggest the most economical changes such as draft proofing, ceiling insulation, wall insulation, underfloor insulation (if possible), and double glazing.
We have trusted trades people or suppliers that do this work for us that we have vetted before recommending to you.

Solar / battery storage systems
We can provide clean renewable energy generation using solar photo-voltaic (pv) panels and if economical, battery storage for getting the best return from your solar pv system.
